The street had a very high level of water that was coming from the retention pond's overflow pipe. I would have expected some flooding from amount of rainfall that we received, but this was an unprecedented amount of street flooding. The retention pond that is currently at the old 3M site (Duval road and North US 183) needs to be inspected to ensure it is working properly and not full of construction material and debris. A retention pond was gushing water from behind my house at 12000 Cactus Bend Austin TX. Apparently the retention pond was not properly handing the volume of water from the runoff. The runoff is from the parking lots of the old 3M Manufacturing site that was torn down and Riata Office buildings. There may be construction material in the retention pond that is causing the flooding issue.
