Hello Steve, the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) has received your request for signage on Nightjar. TPW does not install "Children at Play" signs. They were taken out of our manual years ago. A nationwide study was done where children were asked what that sign meant? Children responded by saying that is was ok to play in the street. Therefore, the sign was taken out. You still may see a few out there where residents install which they should not be doing. Traffic Sign New at Wickersham Ln & Sunridge Dr CLOSED Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. Hello Erin, the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) has received your request for an all-way top at the intersection of Wickersham and Sunridge. TPW understands that people may be using this intersection more due to the construction in the area. However, the traffic control plan does not call for an all-way stop. In regular conditions this intersection would not meet the criteria for an all-way stop. One of the main criteria is having an even spilt of traffic on both streets like a 60/40 percent of traffic. It typically takes close to 500 vehicles an hour for 8 hours of the day to meet criteria. TPW looks at the network of streets in a neighborhood to evaluate all-way stops.
