Traffic Sign New at 1801 Robert Browning St

This should be a 4-way stop with how many pedestrians there are. Vehicles traveling on Aldrich are regularly confused and stop anyways, which is unsafe.
CLOSED Study Requested - Close SR. Placed the intersection of Aldrich St and Robert Browning St in the data collection queue. Data collection team has stated that ongoing construction along Aldrich currently conflicts with the ability to collect accurate data and they will reassess monthly for potential data collection. Sent the following email: """ Hello, I work in the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) and have reviewed your Austin 311 service request about the intersection of Aldrich St and Robert Browning St. I appreciate your feedback regarding driver behaviors at the intersection and would like to share follow-up information. The Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) installs all-way stop treatments to clarify who has the right to proceed through the intersection. When studying an intersection for these treatments, TPW follows criteria defined by the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) using data such as traffic volumes and reported collision history. All-way stops are typically installed when there is a similar amount of traffic driving on both streets, and when a minimum amount of traffic passes through the intersection, or in some cases if 5 or more collisions occur within a single year that could have been corrected by all-way stop controls. The TMUTCD specifies that all-way stop controls should not be installed for traffic calming/speed management as they may cause additional safety concerns. TPW is planning to collect volume data along Aldrich St at the intersections with Simond Ave, Garcia St, and Robert Browning St for the purpose of evaluating the potential for all-way stop installations. This data will be collected when construction in the area allows accurate data collection. A review of existing collision data showed that it would not meet collision-based warrants, however we will evaluate the intersection further upon volume data collection. Thank you, """. - 6 months ago #23-00362836
