Traffic Sign New at 1000 Solano Dr There needs to be more school flashing signage in this street. Middle schoolers have been struck by cars, in cross walks. Cars are not abiding the 20mph posted, as it is not prominent or enforced. CLOSED Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. Field investigation - Drove Pecan Creek parkway, there are two existing school zone warning flashers in place. There are also cross street school zone warning signs, there are pedestrian warning signs at the marked crosswalk and all the signs are in good condition and not obstructed. If vehicles are not obeying the school zone speed limit, then the requester should contact the Austin Police Dept. to request enforcement. Sent the following email: "Hello, I'd like to follow up on your Austin Transportation and Public Works department service request from 311 about the EB right turn from E 51st St to SB US 183 (Ed Bluestein Blvd). Because there are both a pedestrian and bicycle crossing at the intersection which conflict with right turning vehicles, it is not recommended to remove the existing stop controls. Additionally, stopping may allow drivers a chance to prepare their maneuver to merge with SB traffic on the frontage road downstream of the delineators.
